"Dancing Beads From Up Yonder" - White spray against deep blue.
"Peek-a-boo Rock Windows" - Living space looking for ancient man but is found not, with time's span.


"Gnarled Branches and the Stone Cap" - Wood and stone co-existing on the desert floor. One lone bristlecone pine upstaging the stone butte that is Father Time.


"Silent Footprints Frozen in Rock" - One small stride for Sauropods, one giant leap for paleontology.


"White Rays in Morning Mist" - Dawn's awakening of the primeval forest floor.


"Vermilion Hoodoo Spires" - Traces and spaces of orange offset by limes and deep greens.


"Twin Beams Alighting" - Rock arch a-sighting, through windows that lead to a mirror's bubble reflective orbit.

"Wizard's Cap Dark" - Floating in Glacier National Park; New Zealand's little cousin, Xena's magic a-buzzin'.

"Spiky X-ray Needles" - Frothy layer-cake stone, amber sunset tone, frozen cascading mineral zone.

"In Yonder Chasm, Deep Turquoise Turmoil" - Spiked by evergreen needles, held in place by crimson terra.

"Portal to a Time Unforgotten" - Massive teal-colored lake, entrypoint to Glacier National Park, Montana.

"12th century apartments for rent (No Air Conditioning)" - Mesa Verde National Park, Square Tower House ruins, s.e. Colorado.

"A reflection in the camera's eye" - Unbeknownst to the little man behind the green tree, his image is captured simultaneously. This is in the vicinity of the Sand Dune Arch, Arches National Park (mideastern section of Utah).

"Narcissus beware this pool, lest ye slip into quicksand" - Location: Middle Pools, Zion National Park, S. Utah.



"Bridge to the Enchanted Forest" - One of only a few inland rain forests in the continental United States, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington state.

"Little Sahara in Utah" - Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, located between Mount Carmel Junction and Kanab, Utah, south and west of U.S. Highway 89 in Southwestern Utah.


"Giant Arrow" - Wizard Island and Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. A rare moment showing total reflection of the mountain chain surrounding this approximately 26 mile in diameter lake - the 7th deepest inland lake in the world at 1,932 feet.

"Turquoise Bath" - Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Montana. {Note: Volatile noxious sulphuric fumes emanating from crater's center. Seismologists have ascertained that beneath Yellowstone Park lies one of the largest dormant volcanic cauldrons on the planet. - ed.}
